The Student Health Center is designed to provide all students with a comfortable environment where they feel at ease and respected and can ask questions of a sensitive or uncomfortable nature. Assigned female services are provided by a female nurse practitioner.

• Free condoms in the SHC lobby and male and female first floor bathrooms of Gentry and Combs Halls 

What to Expect for STI Screenings

Assigned Female at Birth (AFAB)

Annual Health Maintenance/Women's Health Exam

• May include: breast exam
• STI screening
• Contraceptive (birth control) counseling
• Pap-smear screening for cervical cancer (if 21 years of age or older, or sexually active)

Gynecological Problems

• Menstrual concerns (period issues)
• Vaginal odor or discharge
• Pain
• Bumps, sores, ulcers

Pregnancy Testing

Contraceptive Counseling, problems, and refills

• Available at the Student Health Center:
  • Oral birth control, Depo-Provera
• Prescriptions available:
  • Oral, Depo-Provera, hormonal rings, contraceptive patch
